Casey is a freelance journalist based in Sana`a, Yemen from 2012 – 2015. His writing appears in TIME, BBC Future, Wired, Foreign Policy, The Intercept, CTC Sentinel at West Point, The American Prospect and Aviation Week, among others. He has been a guest commentator on Radio France Internationale, Monocle 24, Deutsche Welle and BBC Live5. 

Before Yemen, he reported from United Nations headquarters in New York, covering U.N. Security Council work on Arab uprisings, and he was a special correspondent to the G8 and G20 global summits in France in 2011. 

He holds BAs in English & Anthropology & an MS in International Relations from the University of Utah.
